hledger-interest software package provides interest computing for (h)ledger, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hledger-interest
hledger-interest is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hledger-interest package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hledger-interest *
You will get with hledger-interest package name, version, architecture and description in a table
